The Art of Fabric Finishing

Perfecting the Final Touch for Superior Performance and Feel

Transforming Fabric into Textile

Finishing is the final, value-adding stage where processed fabric is transformed into a high-performance textile ready for the market. This critical phase enhances a fabric's aesthetics, feel (handle), and functionality. Our extensive range of finishing technologies allows us to deliver precisely engineered textiles that meet the specific end-use requirements of our clients, from fashion apparel to industrial applications.

Mechanical Finishing

Stentering Machine

Stentering

The Stenter machine is fundamental to finishing. As fabric is processed in rope form, it can become distorted. The stenter corrects this by gripping the fabric's selvedges and passing it through a heated chamber. This process sets the final, uniform width, corrects the grain, applies softeners or other chemical finishes, and cures the fabric, ensuring it is stable and meets precise dimensional specifications.

Sanforizing Machine

Sanforizing (Mechanical Shrinking)

To guarantee dimensional stability, our Sanforizing machine applies a controlled compressive shrinkage process. The fabric is fed through a series of rubber belts and heated cylinders, which mechanically forces the fibers closer together. This pre-shrinks the fabric to internationally accepted standards (typically under 1% shrinkage), ensuring that the final garment will not shrink after domestic laundering, a critical quality mark for high-value apparel.

Calendaring Machine

Calendaring

The calendaring process enhances fabric luster and smoothness by passing it between multiple, heavy heated rollers under high pressure. This flattens the yarns and closes the weave, resulting in a glossy, polished surface. It is used to impart a high-lustre finish, improve opacity, and give the fabric a smooth, silky hand-feel.

Peaching Machine

Peaching (Sueding)

Our peaching machine uses abrasive rollers to gently raise the surface fibers of the fabric. This mechanical process breaks up the filament structure, creating an incredibly soft, suede-like surface often described as a "peach skin" feel. This finish adds a luxurious, velvety touch and a soft drape to textiles, making it highly desirable for apparel and upholstery.

Decatising Machine

Decatising

This is a steam-based finishing process that provides a permanent set to the fabric, enhancing its handle and feel. By forcing pressurized steam through the fabric while it is wound under tension, decatising improves dimensional stability, reduces subsequent shrinkage, and imparts a soft, full, and refined handle, particularly sought after for woolen and blended fabrics.

Specialty Chemical Finishes

Water Repellency

We apply advanced hydrophobic finishes that prevent water from penetrating the fabric, making it ideal for outerwear and performance apparel.

Flame Retardancy

Our flame-retardant treatments reduce fabric flammability, meeting stringent safety standards for home textiles, workwear, and technical applications.

Wrinkle-Free

Easy-care finishes that provide excellent crease resistance and recovery, ensuring garments maintain a smooth, freshly-ironed look throughout the day.

Final Make-Up & Packing

Fabric Rolling and Folding

Rolling, Folding & Wrapping

The final stage is meticulous preparation for dispatch. Our advanced machinery allows for precise fabric presentation, either neatly wound onto rolls or expertly lapped in folded form, based on client specifications. Each roll or bale is then tightly wrapped in durable plastic sheeting to protect it from dust, moisture, and handling damage during storage and transit, ensuring it arrives at its destination in pristine condition.
